Kelso scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 82-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prairie Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Hilanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Falcons are ranked 111th).

Kelso dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Prairie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kelso has already played their next match (against Mountain View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Prairie Falcons face off against the Tumwater Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Prairie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
