Basketball Recap: Sparta Academy Skates Past Jackson Academy with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Sparta Academy on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Jackson Academy Eagles out of the water with a 45-7 final score. The team accrued 32 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Sparta Academy found their leader in sophomore Koltin Barlow, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Barlow also set a new season-high mark in steals with eight. Another player making a difference was Hagen Robinson, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Sparta Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Jackson Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
