Basketball Game Preview: Simmons Blue Devils vs. Humphreys County Cowboys

Simmons and Humphreys County are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Blue Devils will take on the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Simmons is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against O'Bannon on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Blue Devils lost 65-41 to the Greenwaves. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Greenwaves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Humphreys County ended up a good deal behind Leake County on Saturday and lost 52-37.

Humphreys County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Simmons, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Simmons couldn't quite get it done against Humphreys County when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 73-63. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
