Meanwhile, Alamo Navajo suffered their biggest defeat since October 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Magdalena. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Steers: they've now lost four in a row.

Alamo Navajo was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-18.

Vaughn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Alamo Navajo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
