George Jenkins is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Ridge Community with a sharp 17-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Layla Hinojosa looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Reese Yungbluth was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Riley Pate was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
George Jenkins always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Winter Haven, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Haines City on Tuesday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Cameron Shelby, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Barrett, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Winter Haven's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for George Jenkins, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
Winter Haven's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. George Jenkins has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Winter Haven, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 strikeouts. Will George Jenkins keep running through batters, or will the Blue Devils buck the trend?
