On TuesdayBattle Creek kept up with Mt. Pleasant until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Mt. Pleasant Tigers claimed a resounding 71-39 win over the Battle Creek Grizzlies. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Ryan Benderman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 of 26 en route to 25 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jakyri McClure, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 17 points and five boards.

Mt. Pleasant smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Mt. Pleasant's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Battle Creek, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will challenge Loretto at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Loretto will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Mt. Pleasant surely won't give up without a fight. As for Battle Creek, they will square off against Spring Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Creek is facing Spring Hill at the right time seeing as Spring Hill is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
