Apex had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Chapel Hill Tigers. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 1-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

They hit Chapel Hill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emily Degnan (2), Eliana Butler (2), and Ava Hunter.
