Baseball Recap: Case Find Success

Case's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Tiverton Tigers as they made off with a 9-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aedan Borges was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Borges was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Devyn Murphy, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Case's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Tiverton, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Case will face off against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Tiverton, they will challenge Davies Career & Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
