Kelly Catholic proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Premont Cowboys. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
The team relied heavily on Abigail Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Isabella Garza also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Kelly Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .500 or higher in four consecutive contests.
