Cameron beats Oak Glen for their seventh straight win

Recap: Cameron Dragons vs. Oak Glen Golden Bears

The Cameron Dragons had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past Oak Glen 35-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Cameron, who have now won seven contests by 35 points or more so far this season.

Colson Wichterman was on fire: he rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Wichterman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylpsan Wallace, who rushed for 126 yards.

Cameron's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Frontier and 1-8 Oak Glen (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 27.2% over those games). As for Oak Glen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Cameron will head out on the road to face off against Ritchie County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ritchie County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday. Oak Glen will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Roane County at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
