Basketball Recap: Founders Classical Academy Gets the Win

Founders Classical Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 56-47 win over the Somerset Academy Collegiate Bears on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hoplites.

It was another big night for Aslan Whyle, who went 9 for 13 en route to 21 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Noah Trejo, who posted eight points and ten boards.

Founders Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Somerset Academy Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Founders Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-62 loss against San Antonio S.T.E.A.M. Academy on the 6th. Somerset Academy Collegiate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
