Volleyball Recap: Erie Takes a Loss

Erie lost against Neodesha back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Blue Streaks by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Erie sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 22-25, 25-13.

Lila Michael paced Erie's offense, picking up eight kills. Michael got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 12 assists. Kylie Hodgden controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Dalia Johnson went supernova For Neodesha., getting 19 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Johnson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Erie has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Neodesha, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Erie has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Labette County on the 20th. As for Neodesha, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Parsons on the 20th.
