 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Saturday California sidestepped Don Lugo for  a  5-3 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for California.
 La Serna's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for California, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
 La Serna came out on top in a nail-biter against California  in their previous matchup  back in March, sneaking past  2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Serna since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
