Volleyball Recap: Wilson Beats Orangeburg-Wilkinson for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Wilson had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They blew past the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wilson was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-11.

Leading Wilson to victory were Kevin Zhao and Elijah Barber. Zhao had 17 assists and four aces, while Barber had 16 digs. Those four aces gave Zhao a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Wilson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

The win got Wilson back to even at 9-9. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Wilson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Manning on the 7th. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, after both having extra time off, they and Ridge View will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
