Softball Recap: Napoleon Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Napoleon faced off against Bowling Green on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 back in April.

Kendall Horner (2026) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addy Thompson (2026) was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Alexa Duryea (2026), who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Napoleon now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Bowling Green, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-14 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Napoleon will be taking part in a tournament against Otsego at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bowling Green, they will welcome Southview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
