Potlatch had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Genesee Bulldogs as they made off with  a  12-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  16-5  last Saturday.
 Logan Carpenter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 3-for-3. Those  two  home runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Brenton Breeze was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jameson Morris, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 Potlatch  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Potlatch pushed their record up to 10-1 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Genesee, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6-1 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Potlatch is set to  take on  their familiar foe Clearwater Valley  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Meanwhile, Genesee will  challenge  rival Prairie  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
