Basketball Game Preview: Pinellas Park Patriots vs. Indian Rocks Christian Eagles

The Pinellas Park Patriots will square off against the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinellas Park has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 18.

Last Friday, Pinellas Park had to suffer through a 67-18 loss at the hands of St. Petersburg. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Green Devils are ranked 157th).

Meanwhile, Indian Rocks Christian made easy work of Bayshore Christian on Monday and carried off a 51-28 victory.

Indian Rocks Christian's win came from a few key players Pinellas Park will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Malia Stevens, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Atkinson, who put up four points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Indian Rocks Christian's record now sits at 9-10. As for Pinellas Park, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Pinellas Park came up short against Indian Rocks Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 42-34. Can Pinellas Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
