Basketball Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

Richmond lost against Imlay City back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the Richmond Blue Devils and the Imlay City Spartans didn't end well, with the Richmond Blue Devils falling 55-40. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Spartans are ranked 120th).

Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Imlay City, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond will head out to square off against Kingston at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kingston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season. As for Imlay City, they are taking a road trip to take on North Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
