Basketball Game Preview: Mancos Bluejays vs. Dove Creek Bulldogs

Mancos is 0-10 against Dove Creek since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mancos Bluejays will face off against the Dove Creek Bulldogs.

On Saturday, Mancos came up short against Ridgway and fell 50-38. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Dove Creek had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Bears, posting a 54-15 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Dove Creek pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36 points. As for Mancos, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Mancos took a serious blow against Dove Creek in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-23. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dove Creek's Ralynn Hickman, who went 10-for-14 en route to 24 points along with eight assists and eight steals.
