Basketball Game Preview: Beulah Bobcats vs. Loachapoka Indians

Beulah is 0-10 against Loachapoka since December of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Beulah Bobcats will host the Loachapoka Indians at 5:30 p.m.

Beulah is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. The game between them and Northside Methodist Academy didn't end well, with Beulah falling 61-47.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loachapoka). They enjoyed a cozy 49-33 victory over Beulah two weeks ago. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Beulah better keep an eye on Essense Key. She was instrumental in Loachapoka's win, going 6 of 14 on her way to 18 points along with eight boards and six steals. Key is becoming a predictor of Loachapoka's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 6-3 (and 1-2 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Destiney Core, who went 7 of 15 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Loachapoka was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Loachapoka's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Beulah, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
