Football Game Preview: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Branson Pirates

The Carl Junction Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Branson Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Carl Junction is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 49 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Seneca on Friday. They took a blow against the Indians, falling 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Indians are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Branson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Marshfield 49-18 on Friday. The matchup marked the Pirates' most dominant victory of the season.

Carl Junction's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Branson, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

Carl Junction was dealt a bruising 40-7 defeat at the hands of Branson when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bulldogs were down 31-0.
