Soccer Recap: Lake Minneola Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Sumter last Tuesday, Lake Minneola came back down to earth. The Lake Minneola Hawks fell 5-3 to the Gateway Panthers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Lake Minneola hit Gateway with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fiorel Alla, Jordan Hernandez, and Lucas Barbosa.

Lake Minneola's loss dropped their record down to 4-4-3. As for Gateway, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Lake Minneola has already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against The Villages Charter on the 17th. Gateway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
