Volleyball Recap: Woodland Cardinals vs. Perryville Pirates

If Woodland was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Zalma on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the Perryville Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Woodland still got an impressive performance from Ella Cook, who had 16 digs.

Leading Perryville to victory were Reese Behrle and Emma Blechle. Behrle had 12 digs and two aces, while Blechle had 18 digs, nine kills, and two aces. Those two aces gave Behrle a new career-high.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Perryville, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
