Recap: Oceanside Mariners vs. Nokomis Warriors

The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 52-14 victory over Nokomis. The result was nothing new for Oceanside, who have now won seven matches by 20 points or more so far this season.

Cohen Galley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Galley hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Sergent, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Oceanside's victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Belfast and 1-8 Brewer (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36% over those games). As for Nokomis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Oceanside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nokomis also has no future games currently scheduled.
