Soccer Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Francis couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 4-1 to the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, St. Francis couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Caroline Kiesler, who's now up to ten this season.

St. Francis moved to 12-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Nazareth Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-10-1.

St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nazareth Academy, they will take on Belvidere North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belvidere North's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Nazareth Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
