Football Recap: Ballantyne Ridge Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fort Mill + How To Watch

Ballantyne Ridge kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 12 in a row.

Broden Mitcheson had an outrageously good game for Fort Mill as he rushed for 127 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. Those 127 rushing yards gave Mitcheson a new career-high. Deveian Southward got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Ballantyne Ridge has already played their next match, a 38-12 loss against Marvin Ridge on the 29th. As for Fort Mill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-14 victory against Chester on the 29th.
