Baseball Recap: Weaver Takes a Loss

Weaver couldn't beat Academy of Aerospace and Engineering on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Beavers lost 12-4 to the Jets. The Beavers have struggled against the Jets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Weaver saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dennis Marrero, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Kendry Lopez Acosta also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Weaver's record now sits at 0-4. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weaver will square off against Parish Hill at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, they will head out to square off against Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
