Basketball Recap: Bishop Lynch Takes a Loss

Bishop Lynch fought the good fight in their overtime contest against North Central Texas Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the North Central Texas Academy Pioneers by a score of 56-54. The Friars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2018.

Bishop Lynch's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for North Central Texas Academy, their win bumped their record up to 23-7.

Bishop Lynch and North Central Texas Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Bishop Lynch (ranked 121st) will meet Prestonwood Christian (ranked 310th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, North Central Texas Academy will challenge May at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday up 263 places (210 vs. 473).
