Volleyball Recap: Franklinton Falls Despite Big Games from Delaney Boylan and Adalyn Smith + How To Watch

After flying high against Knightdale on Tuesday, Franklinton came back down to earth. The Red Rams came up short against the Carrboro Jaguars on Wednesday, falling 3-0. If the Red Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in October of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-12.

Franklinton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Adalyn Smith, who had 14 assists and six digs, and Delaney Boylan, who had 12 digs.

Leading Carrboro to victory were Hayley Royal and Camille Rucker. Royal had five digs and three aces, while Rucker had 11 assists. Royal is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Franklinton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Carrboro, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Franklinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Heritage on the 9th. As for Carrboro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against J.F. Webb on the 9th.
