Basketball Recap: Jackson North Side Comes Up Short

Jackson North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a blow against the McNairy Central Bobcats, falling 65-27. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-12.

Jackson North Side's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Vandiver, who posted seven points. What's more, Vandiver also posted a 50% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024.

Jackson North Side's loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for McNairy Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Coming up, Jackson North Side will square off against Hardin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McNairy Central, they will challenge Jackson South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
