Recap: Parklane Academy Pioneers vs. Clinton Arrows
The Parklane Academy Pioneers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 62-36 defeat at the hands of Clinton.
Despite the loss, Parklane Academy had strong showings from Georgia Lindsey, who scored 14 points, and Zoe Alford, who scored 14 points.
Jatoi Johnson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taelar Felton, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Parklane Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Clinton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Parklane Academy will head out on the road to take on Brookhaven Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Madison Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
