Somerset Academy Losee extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were beaten by the Las Vegas Wildcats 59-28. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Lions' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Somerset Academy Losee's loss came despite strong showings from Carl 'CJ' Sparks and Kieran Daniel. Sparks rushed for 158 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while Daniel gained 177 total yards and a touchdown. Daniel also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

As for Las Vegas, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.8 points this season.

Las Vegas was led to victory by Tanner Vibabul and Rasheed Coleman. Vibabul rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown, while Coleman rushed for 89 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Looking ahead, Somerset Academy Losee will venture away from home to challenge Palo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Las Vegas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Gators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
