Basketball Recap: Lincoln Raper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Concord Academy over Greensboro Day School

Concord Academy lost against Greensboro Day School back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell 63-56 to the Bengals. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lincoln Raper, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points. Raper is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonas Agyeman, who shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Concord Academy fell to 10-1. As for Greensboro Day School, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Concord Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Gaston Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Gaston Christian has averaged an impressive 71.7 points per game this season. As for Greensboro Day School, they are taking a road trip to face off against Westchester Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bengals will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
