Volleyball Recap: Medway Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Medway can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Hanover Hawks on Friday.

Medway's loss came despite strong showings from Lucy Mitchell and Charlotte George. Mitchell had 16 digs and one block, while George had 14 digs and two aces. George is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Hanover found their leader in freshman Emma Hersey, who had eight digs and two aces.

Medway's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Hanover, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Medway nor Hanover have any future games scheduled.
