Baseball Recap: Huntington North Takes a Loss

If Huntington North was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Southwood on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell 11-8 to the Carroll Chargers on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Brady Harris and Marcus Linker did some serious damage despite the final result: Harris went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Linker went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Brodee Swaidner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Huntington North's record now sits at 14-7. As for Carroll, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-11 record.

While Huntington North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
