Willard had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Webb City Cardinals. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 26 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Willard's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Webb City, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
