Volleyball Game Preview: Colorado Academy Mustangs vs. Prospect Ridge Academy Miners + How To Watch

The Colorado Academy Mustangs will take on the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Colorado Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Peak to Peak and fell 3-2. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Pumas recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Colorado Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 25-20, 16-25, 20-18.

Meanwhile, Prospect Ridge Academy got the win against Kent Denver on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Prospect Ridge Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 27-25.

Colorado Academy better keep an eye on Genevieve Forsman. She was instrumental in Prospect Ridge Academy's win, getting nine digs and three assists.

Prospect Ridge Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Prospect Ridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Colorado Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Colorado Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Prospect Ridge Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Miners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
