Softball Recap: Norwalk Gets the Win

Norwalk's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Bellflower Buccaneers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-5 back in April.

Mariah Favela spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Norwalk got a massive performance out of Alyssa Hurst, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Hurst a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nayeli Sanchez, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Norwalk now has a winning record of 14-13-1. As for Bellflower, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
