Willard scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 19-6 to the Perkins Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crimson Flashes of the 16-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lauren Hamons was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season. Kenley Bond was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Willard dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Perkins, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Willard will take on Norwalk at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perkins, they will be playing at home against Columbian at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
