Softball Recap: Cody Broncs vs. Kelly Walsh Trojans
After a string of seven wins, Cody's good fortune finally ran out in Friday's second game. They fell just short of the Kelly Walsh Trojans by a score of 9-7. Cody was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kelly Walsh apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played in Friday's first game.
Emma Lindahl was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Montana Massey, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Cody's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Kelly Walsh, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cody will challenge Worland at 3:30 p.m. in Thursday's first game. Cody is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Kelly Walsh, they will take on Rock Springs at 3:30 p.m. in Friday's first game. Rock Springs will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
