Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Danville Vikings

Lincoln has gone 7-2 against Danville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Railsplitters will take on the Vikings in a tournament on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lincoln's tournament run continued when they took on Dunbar on Wednesday. The Railsplitters enjoyed a cozy 61-45 win over the Mightymen. The Railsplitters pushed the score to 48-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mightymen cut but never quite recovered from.

Karson Komnick had a dynamite game, going 9-for-14 en route to 29 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Vlahovich, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Danville beat Dunbar 55-49 on Tuesday.

Lincoln pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Danville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Lincoln strolled past Danville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 61-43. Will the Railsplitters repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
