Clayton beats Willow Spring for their seventh straight win

The Clayton Comets had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-6 victory over Willow Spring. Clayton's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

When it comes to explaining why Willow Spring lost, one person who can't be blamed is Laden Beckwith. Despite the final result, he picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Beckwith was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 64 yards.

Clayton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
