Basketball Recap: Brody Harris and Brady Johnston Secure Win for Grace Christian

Grace Christian waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-49 W against the Teays Valley Christian Lions. This was a revenge game for Grace Christian: when they faced off against Teays Valley Christian back in January, they had to take a 64-40 loss.

Leading Grace Christian to victory were Brady Johnston and Brody Harris. Johnston dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds, while Harris to rack up 23 points. That's the most points Johnston has posted since back in December of 2024.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kahsi Morgan, who had 16 points. Morgan's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Nathan Jones was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Grace Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Teays Valley Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.

Grace Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-46 defeat against Calvary Baptist Academy on the 21st. As for Teays Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-48 victory against Pipestem Christian Academy on the 21st.
