Vancleave took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Biloxi, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Indians 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Brooklyn Howard spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Brianna Webster was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Presleigh Tapp, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Vancleave now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Biloxi, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Vancleave will be playing at home against Pass Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Biloxi, they will head out to challenge Pascagoula at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
