Shadow Hills extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-5. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the La Quinta Blackhawks. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Shadow Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jesse Rodriguez, who threw for 310 yards and four TDs. The Knights are 3-1 when Rodriguez posts 250 or more passing yards, but 1-4 otherwise.
