Soccer Game Preview: Craigmont vs. Raleigh-Egypt

Craigmont is 2-8 against Raleigh-Egypt since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Craigmont is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Raleigh-Egypt at 4:00 p.m. Craigmont will be strutting in after a victory while Raleigh-Egypt will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Craigmont made easy work of Douglass and carried off an 8-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Craigmont.

Meanwhile, Raleigh-Egypt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to Cordova. That's two games in a row now that Raleigh-Egypt have lost by exactly nine goals.

Raleigh-Egypt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Craigmont, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything went Craigmont's way against Raleigh-Egypt in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Craigmont made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Craigmont since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
