After flying high against Cardinal Mooney Catholic two weeks ago, Shrine Catholic came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish by a score of 13-11 on Tuesday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Georgia Golbiw made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Samantha Singler also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Shrine Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Gabriel Richard, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shrine Catholic beat the Fighting Irish by a score of 15-4 later that day.
