Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Lafayette Central Catholic lost against Springs Valley back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackhawks. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Kylie DeBruyne and Embree Boutelle, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Charli Cain and her seven assists. Brooke Thompson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lafayette Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Springs Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Lafayette Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cowan on the 27th. As for Springs Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Morristown on the 27th.
