Wayne County won the last time they faced Stringer and things went their way on Saturday too. The War EaglesLady War Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Red Devils.
Talon Tate made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Wayne County got a massive performance out of Jon Michael Pitts, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
