Axtell hasn't had much luck against Kenesaw recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Axtell Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Kenesaw Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Axtell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Axtell duked it out withDundy County-Stratton on Saturday. Axtell received a blow as they fell 60-43 to Dundy County-Stratton.

Axtell's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jacob Halvorsen, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Halvorsen is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Cade Axtell was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kenesaw was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Hampton 56-19. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.
Axtell better keep an eye on Adam Denkert. He was instrumental in Kenesaw's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Denkert a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Haahr, who posted seven points and three steals.
Kenesaw smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
Kenesaw has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Axtell, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Axtell has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Kenesaw struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Axtell strolled past Kenesaw in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 53-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Axtell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
